Speaker Bio

Greg Dawson, 61, is a columnist for the Orlando Sentinel. He has worked for newspapers in a variety of writing positions since his high school days covering sports for his hometown newspaper in Bloomington, Indiana, where his parents were on the music faculty at Indiana University. He has written everything from sports to editorials to lifestyle, television, local and state commentary and now consumer affairs.

Greg has worked for the Bloomington (IN) Herald-Telephone, The Boca Raton (FL) News, The Grand Forks (ND) Herald, The Wichita (KS) Beacon and Eagle, The Boston (MA) Herald, The Indianapolis (IN) Star, and The Orlando (FL) Sentinel.

Hiding in the Spotlight, his first book was published in 2009 by Pegasus Books and has been translated and released in Italy, France and Korea. His second book, Judgment Before Nuremberg: The First Nazi War Crime Trial, will published in the fall by Pegasus Books. Greg and his wife and collaborator, Candy, have a son, 35, a daughter, 29, and a dog, Pepsi, 3.
